Santa Fe County Health Policy and Planning Commission (HPPC) Seeking Members

Santa Fe – December 7, 2011 – Santa Fe County is seeking citizens to serve on the Santa Fe County Health Policy and Planning Commission (HPPC), specifically one member for Commission Districts 2, 3, 4, and two members for District 5. A Commission district map is available at www.santafecountynm.gov/county_commissioners. HPPC members are volunteers appointed by the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners (BCC) to assist the county in engaging and eliciting community input regarding healthcare needs of county residents and assisting the BCC in studying and researching healthcare and other related issues. The HPPC generally holds meetings the first Friday of each month at 9 a.m.

Applicants should be of diverse backgrounds, representative of the varied experience with healthcare services, consumption of healthcare services and persons interested in health promotion, disease and behavioral health prevention and the provision of healthcare. A background check will be required for all applicants chosen to serve on the HPPC.
