Santa Fe County Health Policy and Planning Commission (HPPC) Seeks District 1 Members


Santa Fe – March 18, 2011 – Santa Fe County is currently seeking District 1 citizens to serve on the Santa Fe County Health Policy and Planning Commission (HPPC). HPPC members are volunteers appointed by the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners (BCC) to assist the county in engaging and eliciting community input regarding healthcare needs of county residents, and assisting the BCC in studying and researching healthcare and related issues for the BCC.

Note brief description of District 1 location: Santa Fe County District 1 is located in the northern part of Santa Fe County with boundaries near Chimayo, the City of Espanola (Riverside Drive) and Los Alamos County.

Applicants should be of diverse backgrounds, representative of the varied experience with healthcare services, consumption of healthcare services and persons interested in health promotion, disease and behavioral health prevention, and the provision of healthcare. A background check will be required for all applicants chosen to serve on the HPPC.

The HPPC generally holds meetings during the workday on a monthly or quarterly basis.
