Santa Fe County Hires Public Information Officer
Join us in welcoming Olivia Romo to the Santa Fe County Communications Team. Ms. Romo will be serving as the Communications Coordinator. She is a native of Northern New Mexico who grew up farming and ranching in Taos, New Mexico. In her personal life, Olivia is an acequia advocate and recognized spoken word artist who has been published in the New York Times and other literary journals. Her work celebrates the land-based traditions of Northern New Mexico. Olivia has a dual Bachelor’s Degree in English and Chicana/o Studies from the University of New Mexico.
For almost four years, Olivia served Santa Fe County as the Constituent Services Liaison for the District 5 office under Commissioner Ed Moreno and Commissioner Hank Hughes. Olivia is passionate in her work as a public servant and aspires to grow into her role now as Communications Coordinator to help bring more awareness to the public about the services Santa Fe County provides and helping the organization become a more transparency, safe, sustainable, and healthy government.
