Santa Fe County Hosts 2012 Community Development Block Grant Program Public Hearings

Santa Fe, NM – November 15, 2011 - Santa Fe County will host a series of public input meetings (see below) to discuss community development needs and suggestions for possible community projects that may be eligible to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDGB) Program funding and to report on past CDGB program activities.

Meeting Schedule
Tuesday, November 15 at 6 p.m. in the County Commission Chambers, 102 Grant Ave.
Thursday, November 17 at 6 p.m. in the County Commission Chambers, 102 Grant Ave.
Saturday, November 19 at 10 a.m. in the County Commission Chambers, 102 Grant Ave.

National and State objectives of the CDGB require that assistance be made available for activities that address at least one of the following:

•An activity identified as principally benefitting persons of low and moderate income
•Aid in the prevention and elimination of slums and blight
•Meet other community development needs of recent origin having a particular urgency because existing conditions pose a serious and immediate threat to the health and welfare of the community where other financial resources are not available to meet such needs.

All interested parties are invited to attend, submit project ideas and provide supporting data or testimony.
