Santa Fe County Hosts Supplemental Well Meetings
Santa Fe – April 21, 2010 – Santa Fe County will hold three public meetings to seek input on the Conjunctive Management Well Project. This project involves using groundwater (wells) to provide a backup water supply to the Buckman Direct Diversion in times of drought or mechanical failure. The public meetings will provide input on supplemental well locations, monitoring, and uses proposed for back-up water supply for the Buckman Direct Diversion Project.
The Santa Fe County Water Focus Group has completed a review of a map based analysis and has reviewed potential well locations for environmental sensitivity and impacts to nearby well owners and surface water resources. The results of this analysis will be the primary topic of the public meetings. Monitoring plans and the conditions for operation will also be discussed.

Monday, April 26 at 6:00pm, Nancy Rodriquez Center, 1 Prairie Dog Loop Santa Fe, NM (conceptual review)
