Santa Fe County is Seeking Two Library Board Members

Santa Fe County is seeking two County residents to serve on the Santa Fe Public Library Board. The Public Library Board consists of five City residents and two County residents, all of whom serve without compensation.   

The Library Board was formed by City of Santa Fe Ordinance establishing an advisory board “charged with recommending, in consultation with the head librarian and staff, policies on the use of the library, book selection, acceptance of gifts and bequests, and such other matters.”  The County residents must live outside the incorporated boundaries of the City of Santa Fe.  County Board members are appointed by the Mayor on the recommendation of the Board of County Commissioners and with the approval of the majority of the City Council.
