Santa Fe County Mobile Health Van Offering Free Total Cholesterol Testing During February

Santa Fe, NM – February 2, 2012- In support of National Heart Month the Santa Fe County Mobile Health Van is offering free total Cholesterol testing during the month of February.

The Mobile Health Van offers a variety of services to residents 18 years of age or older at multiple locations around Santa Fe County. The van is in operation Tuesday through Saturday and all services provided are free to residents.

Free Cholesterol Testing Locations ( February 3, 2012 – February 7, 2012)

Friday, February 3, 2012 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Glorieta Baptist Church Parking Lot, 35 State Route 50, Glorieta

Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Agora Supermarket Parking Lot, Eldorado

Tuesday, February 7 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Ken and Patty Adam Senior Center, 16 Avenida Torreon, Eldorado

In 2011 the Mobile Health Van had a total of 2,248 visitors. Services provided included: 1, 610 Blood Pressure checks, 1, 459 Blood Glucose Checks, 459 Adult Influenza Vaccinations, 163 Referrals to healthcare providers or community services and over 600 free Discount Prescription Drug Cards were distributed.
