Santa Fe County Night Road Sweeping - Thursday, June 30 starting at 7:30 p.m. on Agua Fria
On Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 7:30 p.m. through Friday, July 1 at 7 a.m. Santa Fe County Public Works’ road sweepers will perform maintenance operations on Agua Fria Street extending east one mile from Willy Road to the intersection with La Junta Del Alamo.
These night time sweeping operations are necessary to alleviate daytime traffic congestion and backups. If possible, please plan to avoid these areas.
Quick facts about all road sweeping operations in Santa Fe County:
- By law- all road sweeping operations shall be considered active work zones. Motorists who violate traffic laws in active work zones are subject to enhanced penalties.
- Upon encountering a mobile road sweeping operation motorists are encouraged to follow the rules of the road. Be patient, keep back 500 feet and exercise additional safety precautions.
- Motorists who follow the rules of the road are less susceptible to accidents.
