Santa Fe County Receives Workers’ Compensation Safety Award
New Mexico Counties presented Santa Fe County with a Workers’ Compensation Safety Award for Division 5 representing all Class A counties during the 2019 NMC Legislative Conference January 17, 2019 in Santa Fe.
“The safety of our employees and of the public is of the utmost importance to us,” said County Manager Katherine Miller. “We hope to continue this positive trend in the future.”
Santa Fe County received its award for achieving a positive claim trend and lowering the frequency of workers’ compensation claims in their county over the last three years. The counties are divided into five divisions based on the number of employees. For this award, the county received a $7,000 contribution refund. The county has received the safety award for the first time.
