Santa Fe, NM – March 27, 2014 - Santa Fe County has released the Zoning Map Adoption Draft as well as the Public Review and Comment Schedule as part of the Zoning Map Adoption Process. The adoption of the Zoning Map by the Board of County Commissioners will trigger the recently approved Sustainable Land Development Code (SLDC) to go into effect. The Zoning Map Adoption draft is available on the County website at www.santafecountynm.gov/sldc or at www.santafecountynm.gov under Hot Topics.

All property has been assigned a zoning classification in accordance with the SLDC. Notifications to property owners of the proposed zoning map are scheduled to be sent by Friday, April 4, 2014. During the adoption process, Santa Fe County staff will host public meetings around Santa Fe County to review the map with residents and assist property owners in locating their property on the map. During this time staff will also provide information on the assigned zoning classification and applicable section of the SLDC.
