Santa Fe County Seeking County Open Land, Trails and Parks Advisory Committee (COLTPAC) Members

Santa Fe, NM – November 9, 2012 - Santa Fe County is seeking citizens to serve on the County Open Land, Trails and Parks Advisory Committee (COLTPAC). COLTPAC members are volunteers appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to assist in further developing the County’s Open Space and Trails Program. Currently there are openings for five representatives. Volunteers are needed from Commission District 1, 2, 3, and 5, as well as one “at large” member, who can be from any district.

COLTPAC members advise Santa Fe County on the following:

•Potential acquisition projects,

•Open space and trails planning and management,

•Implementation of the County Open Lands and Trails Plan.

Applicants should be enthusiastic, experienced, and comfortable working in a consensus building environment. COLTPAC holds evening public meetings at least once a month, on the third Thursday of the month, in Santa Fe.
