Santa Fe County Seeks Residents for County Valuation Protest Board

 

Santa Fe County is seeking residents to serve on the County Valuation Protest Board.  There is one board member vacancy as well as two alternate member vacancies. 

The new board member and one of the alternates must demonstrate experience in the field of property valuation. The other alternate member is not required to have experience and will fulfill the remainder of an unexpired term and serve a new two year term. 

The Valuation Protest Board consists of volunteers that examine and rule on property tax valuation protests.  It is comprised of two members and two alternates.  One member and one alternate must demonstrate experience in the field of property valuation. Protest Board members are appointed for two year terms by the Santa Fe County Board of County Commissioners.  Members shall not be employed by the State of New Mexico, a political subdivision, or a school district, shall not hold an elected public office and must be registered to vote in Santa Fe County.

Anyone interested in being appointed to the County Protest Valuation Board should submit a letter outlining their qualifications and a resume to:
