Santa Fe County Solid Waste Convenience Centers Now Accepting Additional Recyclable Materials
Solid Waste Convenience Centers are now accepting additional recyclable materials.
The Santa Fe Solid Waste Management Agency Joint Powers Board approved a contract with Friedman Recycling of Albuquerque, LLC to process and market the recycling currently consolidated at the Buckman Road Recycling and Transfer Station (BuRRT).
Under the contract, residents are able to put the following materials into their mixed recycling bin at all of the County drop-off containers:
All plastic containers, regardless of number (includes clamshells, yogurt containers and other packaging materials).
- All paper products, including books and paperboard (cereal boxes, coke boxes, etc.).
- All corrugated cardboard (Please no wax coated cardboard).
- All steel containers (e.g. tin cans).
- All aluminum containers and foil products.
- All milk/juice cartons and drink packaging.
