New Mexico and Action Based Climate Change Conference - This conference is on October 28, 2017 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Monte del Sol Charter School in Santa Fe. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., the registration price is $25.

STOP THE JUNK MAIL AND PHONEBOOK DELIVERY!If you want to STOP JUNK MAIL, you can visit the Eco-cycle website: http://www.ecocycle.org/junkmail. Additionally, here is a website where you can opt out of the receiving the local printed phone book: https://www.yellowpagesoptout.com/homepage. And…here’s the Do-Not-Call registration number: 1-888-382-1222 for land lines, mobile, or internet phone number. If you are registered and are still receiving calls, you can ask for the business’s name and phone number and lodge a complaint.

2017 HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS AND ELECTRONICS WASTE AMNESTY DAY ON NOVEMBER 11Santa Fe Solid Waste Management Agency will take motor oil, anti-freeze, paint, stains, pesticides, cleaning products, aerosol cans, rechargeable batteries, computers, monitors, TVs, cell phones, etc. off your hands for FREE from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Buckman Road Recycling and Transfer Station (BuRRT) at 2600 Buckman Road.

If the lines are too long, consider supporting the actual cost of disposal by dropping your hazardous and electronic waste off during normal hours (Fridays and Saturdays, 8 a.m.- 4:45 p.m.) for a fee when you drop off your free glass recycling.
