Santa Fe County Water Policy Advisory Committee is Seeking A New Member


Santa Fe, NM – December 3, 2014 - The Santa Fe County Utilities Division is currently seeking an interested member of the general public from the northern Santa Fe County planning area (primarily consists of District 1) to serve on the Water Policy Advisory Committee (WPAC) to finish a three-year term beginning in January 2015 and ending in October 2016. The Water Policy Advisory Committee consists of 12-members and is tasked with advising the Santa Fe County Board of County Commissioners on water policy countywide including: water policies in the Land Development Code, County water and wastewater utility growth, proposed aquifer storage and recharge activities, regionalization and regional water authorities, and updates to the 40-year Water Plan and the Conjunctive Management Plan. Committee members are responsible for attending bimonthly or quarterly meetings. Currently the meetings are held on Thursdays at 6 p.m. at the Public Works Conference Room, located at the Public Works Facility.
