Santa Fe County/City of Santa Fe Complete Count Census 2010 Committee Recognized
Santa Fe – August 31, 2010 – The Board of County Commissioners recognized each Census 2010 Complete Count Committee member at the County Commission meeting on Tuesday, August 31. Commissioner Virginia Vigil sponsored Resolution 2009-9 creating a Census 2010 Complete Count Committee to help get information out regarding the Census.
“We owe a debt of gratitude to the volunteers in our community who donated hundreds of hours educating Santa Fe County residents about the 2010 Census and the importance of obtaining the most complete count possible,” said Commissioner Virginia Vigil.
Pauline Nunez, Partnership Coordinator with the Denver Regional Census Center attended the Commission meeting to recognize key officials and provided a final report to the Board of County Commissioners.
Nuñez made a special presentation to the Santa Fe County/City of Santa Fe Complete Count Committee for their leadership and participation in the 2010 Census campaign. She presented a plaque and letter to Santa Fe County, Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Santa Fe Public Schools, and the City of Santa Fe.
“The success of Census 2010 would not have been possible if it were not for the voluntary support that we received from the Santa Fe County/City of Santa Fe Complete Count Committee,” said Pauline Nuñez, Census Partnership Coordinator.
