Santa Fe Drive Electric Celebration

Want a glimpse of our electric future? Want to test drive an electric vehicle?  Want to hear stories from happy electric vehicle owners?  Want to learn more about the widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles?  

Join organizers Santa Fe Green Chamber of Commerce and Santa Fe County in the western portion of the Santa Fe Place Mall parking lot this Saturday, September 8, from 10 am-3 pm to celebrate the clean-air benefits, cost-savings, and fun provided by EVs.

Attendees can win a BMW i3 for a weekend or a gift card to Outback Steakhouse; test drive a Nissan Leaf; and check out Zero Motorcycles electric motorcycles, Pedego electric bicycles, and Tesla electric cars. Elected officials will talk about the importance of EVs, and EV owners will be available to discuss their experience being tailpipe-free. Those who register to attend to event as an EV owner at driveelectricweek.org and complete a short survey will be entered into a drawing to win $250. Outback Steakhouse is also offering 15% off to those who attend this event.

“A switch to electric vehicles frees Americans from the gas pump and reduce air pollution, plus, these cars are incredibly fun, efficient and convenient to drive,” said Santa Fe County Commissioner, Anna Hansen. “The Santa Fe Drive Electric Celebration will show our community how real people are enjoying these cars without the need for oil.”
