South Meadows at NM 599 Frontage Road to Agua Fria Intersection Closed Weekend of June 18 for Southside Water Line Construction

Santa Fe County would like to notify residents that the City of Santa Fe Southside Water Line construction work will begin at the Agua Fria and South Meadows intersection on June 14, 2011. The intersection and the frontage road at NM 599 and South Meadows will be completely closed beginning June 18 at 7 a.m. through June 19 to ensure the safety of area residents, drivers and construction crews. The intersection is scheduled to reopen by 7 a.m. Monday, June 20. Detour signs and electronic message boards noting the closure will be posted. Drivers should expect delays and seek alternate routes.

The City of Santa Fe has contracted Sasquatch, Inc. to construct the 9,700-feet pipeline that runs through South Meadows Road from Agua Fria to Jaguar Drive and through Jaguar Drive from South Meadows Road to Cerrillos Road. The project is scheduled for completion at the end of the year, weather permitting.

The $2.8 million S-1 Southwest Tank Supply Pipeline project will convey Buckman Direct Diversion project water to serve the southwest area of the city.
