Sustainable Land Development Code (SLDC) Focus Group Meeting Schedule

Santa Fe, NM – August 11, 2011- The Sustainable Land Development Code (SLDC) Focus Group Meetings for Open Space and Trails, Green Building and Home Based Business will begin the week of August 15. The focus groups are a continuation of the ongoing public input meeting process and the purpose of the focus groups is to have a group of County residents with expertise and or interest in a particular topic related to the Code who can discuss identify and further define alternatives for implementation into the SLDC. The focus group outcomes will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for review.

All focus group meetings will be held in the Santa Fe County Commission Chambers, 102 Grant Ave. Every meeting is open to the public and all interested residents are encouraged to attend. The meetings will also be broadcast live on the web at www.santafecountynm.gov. Each meeting will last two hours, the first portion of the meeting will be designate for a discussion between the focus group members and the second portion of the meeting will allow for input from other community members.

Green Building Focus Group Meeting
Monday, August 15 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Home Based Business
Wednesday, August 17 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Open Space and Trails
Wednesday, August 17 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Residents can participate and comment on any documents at any time by utilizing the Public Input Database, an instruction manual, instruction videos and relevant documentation for each topic can be found at www.santafecountynm.gov/growth_management/sldc.
