Teen Court Mural Unveiling, Thursday, October 23

Santa Fe, NM – October 22, 2014 – Teen Court of Santa Fe County would like to invite residents to the unveiling of their latest mural on Thursday, October 23 from 4p.m. - 6 p.m. The mural is located at La Familia Medical Center, 1035 Alto Street.

“The public murals not only beautifies the City, but it gives our youth an opportunity to be a part of a community project while learning a skill set and an appreciation for legal public art,” said Jennifer Romero, Teen Court Program Manager.

This is the seventh mural the Teen Court program has completed as part of the public art mural project developed in 2009. Artists, Christopher Evans, Grant Kosh, and John Oda, applied different techniques as the month long project developed with Teen Court youth working alongside and learning various skills. The funding for this mural came from a Juvenile Adjudication Fund Grant. The funding will allow for one more mural project this fiscal year. The Teen Court program would like to continue to work with local artists and businesses to help deter vandalism in the community.
