Town Hall For Senior Citizens to Voice Concerns Regarding Senior Housing Needs
Santa Fe, NM – October 28, 2011 - Santa Fe County Commissioners Liz Stefanics and Kathy Holian along with County Housing and Affordable Housing staff will host a Town Hall meeting to listen to senior citizens concerns regarding senior housing on Monday, November 7 at the Ken and Patty Adam Senior Center, 16 Avenida Torreon in Eldorado from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Commissioners would like to hear from all seniors as well their family members about their needs for senior housing rentals or senior affordable housing sales in the same area. All members of the public are invited and welcome.
Several seniors in the 285 Corridor, Eldorado and surrounding area have asked the county to evaluate their needs and the needs of all seniors as they grow older, have health problems or move to limited incomes. They noted that often seniors in rural areas are isolated, but wish to be connected to a community.
