COUNTY HOSTSUKGOVERNMENT OFFICIALS ON STATE DEPARTMENT TOUR

Santa Fe– August 21, 2007–Santa Fe County played host to government officials from the United Kingdom today who are visiting as part of a State Department-sponsored professional and educational tour of the U.S.They are visiting Washington, D.C., Seattle, Memphis, New York, and Santa Fe to learn about the role of local government, juvenile justice, child welfare, and the American Indian experience.

CountyCommissioner Mike Anaya and County Manager Roman Abeyta represented Santa Fe County as hosts.“Learning from each other is how we grow” said Anaya “We’re honored to have our guests here to exchange ideas and discuss common problems and solutions.”
