Updated Traffic and Construction Info for Jan/Feb

WHAT:
Detours and Traffic Information for construction on Phase II of the New Mexico Rail Runner Express. 

WHEN:

-  Jan. 28 through Feb. 1 

-  8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Night Shift) and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Day Shift)


WHERE:

  • N.M. Highway 14 will continue to experience left lane closures during daytime and nighttime operations due to various bridge construction operations. One lane northbound and southbound will remain open under the I-25 bridge.
  • Galisteo Road remains closed for the next several months. Traffic is being detoured via Yucca Street.
  • Crews will continue to work in Waldo Canyon; Construction vehicles will be entering and exiting the area; motorists will be stopped intermittently and guided by a flagman through various parts of Waldo Canyon Rd; minimal delays are expected. This closure will be in place during both day and night shifts and will continue until further notice.
  • Day shift and night shift work will consist of miscellaneous lane drops on I-25 between the La Bajada Rest Area and St. Francis Drive and single right lane drops at N.M 599 under the I-25 bridge for various construction operations; motorists should obey posted speed limits and drive with caution.


Note: Detour expected in Santa Fe County at Straight Street in early February. More details will be available at a later date.
