Santa Fe, NM - August 28, 2014- Old Man Gloom says take a Cab Ride Home tomorrow night (Friday, August 29), it is only $1. The Santa Fe County DWI Program is providing a $1 Cab Ride Home from a bar or party on Zozobra night. The reduced rate rides start at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and will end at 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Enjoy the festivities, but Think SaFe. Take a Cab Ride Home by calling 438-0000.
“Rid yourself of all the year’s worries and troubles, send them up in smoke with Zozobra and then save yourself from anymore worries by taking the Cab Ride Home instead of drinking and driving, Think SaFe,” said Lupe Sanchez, DWI Program Coordinator.
The normal rate for the subsidized ride home is $5 per cab for 1-2 riders and $10 per cab for 3 or more and runs from 5:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights. The DWI Program offsets the first $25 of these cab rides home. Patrons are responsible for the portion of the fare over $25.
