SANTA FE COUNTY PET OWNERS
- All dogs and cats over the age of 3 months must have a rabies shot
- All dogs over the age of 3 months must have a county license
- A copy of the dog's current rabies vaccination is required to obtain a license
- It is unlawful for any owner of an animal to fail, refuse, or neglect to provide his or her animal with proper and adequate food, water, and shade or shelter
- All persons owning or having charge of an animal must keep the animal restrained on their premises; It is unlawful to allow any dog to run at large
- It is unlawful for a pet owner to allow animals to persistently or continuously bark, howl or make noise common to their species, or otherwise disturb the peace
