Deputy dispatched to location in reference to a stolen trailer. Once on scene and through investigation it was learned unknown suspect(s) arrived at an open storage lot and stole the trailer. The theft occurred sometime on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 9:00 pm and May 31, 2023 at 7:00 am. Trailer has been entered as stolen in NCIC.

VICTIM WAS WAITING FOR A 2022 TAX RETURN CHECK IN THE MAIL AND NEVER RECEIVED IT. A CHECK WITH HER TAX PREPARER REVEALED THE CHECK HAD BEEN CASHED IN MARCH OF 2022 BY AN UNKNOWN FEMALE. THE VICTIM SAID SHE DOES NOT KNOW WHO THE FEMALE IS NO FURTHER INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.

VICTIM PAID FOR A PRINTER ON LINE. AFTER NOT RECEIVING IT SHE CHECKED THE TRACKING NUMBER WHICH SHOWED IT WAS DELIVERED TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS TO SOMEONE WITH A DIFFERENT NAME. VICTIM CONTACTED PAYPAL AND FILED A REPORT FOR FRAUD.

SUSEPCT WAS ARRESTED ON THE WARRANTS AND CHARGED AND BOOKED ACCORDINGLY INTO THE SANTA FE COUNTY ADULT DETENTION CENTER (ADC) WITHOUT INCIDENT.

SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED AFTER A TRAFFIC STOP. A CHECK REVEALED THE SUSPECT HAD SEVERAL ACTIVE WARRATS: THIS WARRANT IS FOR AGG BATTERY. OTHER ASSOCIATED CASE NUMBERS AND WARRANTS FOR THIS SUSPECT ARE 2023003254- BATTERY, 2023003255- DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED AND 2023003256- NO DRIVERS LICENSE. SUSPECT WAS ARRESTED ON ALL WARRANTS AND TRANSPORTED AND BOOKED INTO THE SANTA FE COUNTY ADULT DETENTION CENTER (ADC) WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
Case#2023003273/Attempt to commit a felony to wit robbery & Battery/5—29-23

Location: Buffalo Thunder Trail, Santa Fe, NM
Suspect: Devon Archuleta, Chimayo, NM
Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a robbery. Upon arrival, Deputies spoke with the victim. The victim stated a clean-cut male wearing a yellow shirt and black shorts attempted to steal her purse from her hands while she was playing a machine in the casino. The male returned approximately 30 minutes later and tried to steal the purse again, knocking the victim to the ground.
Surveillance video of the incident was located. License Plate Readers at the location led Deputies to the suspect's residence. An arrest warrant is being obtained.
Case #2023003251 Death Investigation 05-29-23

Location: El Potrero Road (Chimayo)
On May 28th,2023 at about 9:30 p.m., SFRECC receiving 911 calls regarding a large amount of gun shots being fired in Chimayo. Shortly after, Deputies arrived on scene and located a crime scene with several spent cartridges. Deputies also located a male who was obviously deceased as a result of being struck by gunfire. The scene has been secured and detectives from the criminal investigations division have began an investigation.

On Sunday, May 28, 2023, deputies responded to the above area in reference to an auto burglary. Contact was made with the victim who advised at 12:38 am on 05-28, unknown suspects stole the above property from a vehicle. This incident remains under investigation.
