Location: Rancho Viejo RV storage on A Van Nu Po, Santa Fe, NM

Stolen: 2018 INTE Cargo trailer bearing NM-55855TRK

Victim reported sometime during the last week his cargo trailer was stolen from a storage facility. On scene, the suspect(s) used a torch the cut the fence open to gain access. The trailer was later recovered at a residence in Santa Fe.

Location: Quiet Valley Loop Edgewood, NM

Victim reported after sending an intimate picture to a person, they in turn demanded money and threatended to send the picture to family and friends if money was not paid. Case is under investigation.


2024000139 - 2024000138 / Warrant service / 01-07-2024

Location: Lopez Ln Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: John Flores, 37 YOM

While conducting an operation at a residence, John Flores was identified and confirmed to have two active warrants for his arrest. John Flores was placed under arrest and booked into Santa Fe County Jail. 


Case #2024000124 Aggravated DWI, Negligent Use of a Firearm, Speeding

Deputy Assigned: M. Ward

Location: US 84/285 Mile Marker 179, Santa Fe

Arrested: Justin Montoya, 25 YOA male, Espanola

Deputies responded to assist Pojoaque Police on a traffic stop with a non-native American male. The male was stopped for traveling 130 mph in a 65 mph zone. Deputies contacted the driver and observed signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility accordingly.


Case #2024000116 Unattended Death

Deputy Assigned: D. Moore

Location: Camino Vista Grande, Santa Fe

Deceased:  64 YOA male, Santa Fe

Deputies responded to a call of a male not conscious and not breathing. Deputies and medics arrived on scene and attempted lifesaving measures, but were unsuccessful. The Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) was contacted. OMI arrived on scene and took over the investigation. No signs of foul play were observed.


2023000111 / Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle / 01-06-2024

Location: Camino Vista Aurora, Santa Fe, NM

Victim: 35 YOM

Stolen: 2005 white Subaru Outback with tinted windows, bearing NM-RMB646

Victim reported unknown suspect(s) stole his vehicle sometime during the evening hours from 01-05-24 into early morning hours of 01-06-2024. Victim is unsure how vehicle was stolen. Case is under investigation. Vehicle has been entered into NCIC as stolen. 


Case #2024000107 / AGG DUI, Open Container, Careless Driving, 1/5/2024

Arrested: Henry Redwine (53 YO)

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed the suspect purchased a bottle of vodka then drove until he crashed into a median. Suspect showed signs of impairment, and refused to submit to SFST's or a breath test. Suspect was transported and booked accordingly. 


Case #2024000087 Driving While License Revoked 01/05/2024

Location: U.S. 84/285 Mile 186

Arrested: Joseph Romero (50 YOM)

Deputy performed a license plate inquiry while vehicle was in motion.  Registered owner was identified and found to have a revoked license with the arrest clause.  Deputy conducted a traffic stop and confirmed the registered owner was indeed operating the vehicle.  The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.


Case#2024000081/Unattended Death/1-5-24

Address: Chocolate Flower Circle, Santa Fe County

Victim: 80 YOM

Deputies were dispatched to a male who collapsed and stopped breathing. Santa Fe County Fire and EMS arrived and despite their best efforts, could not revive the victim. The victim suffered from Congestive Heart Failure, among other medical conditions. Foul play is not suspected. OMI and staff with Rivera's Funeral Home later arrived and recovered the body. 


Case#2024000071/Robbery-Kidnapping-Burglary/1-4-2024

Address: Sunlight View, Santa Fe County

Victim: 66 YOM

On Wednesday January 3, 2024 between approximately 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm, two unknown suspects entered the victim’s residence, tied him up, and placed a blanket over his head. The suspects then stole items from his residence which included a .308 Savage Arms rifle. The victim was found today (January 4, 2024) by his neighbor who then contacted the Sheriff's Office. The victim was evaluated by ambulance personnel for non-life-threatening injuries.
