Deputy dispatched to location in reference to a welfare check. The reporting person received a cryptic message from their daughter which concerned them. Once on scene and through investigation, it was learned the victim and suspect got into a verbal argument which escalated last evening. As the argument escalated, suspect battered victim and broke her cell phone to prevent law enforcement being notified. Signs of battery were apparent. Suspect placed under arrest, transported and booked into Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Victims: 33 YOF, 11 YO, 15YO
Deputy dispatched to location in reference to a domestic disturbance. Once on scene and through investigation it was learned the victim and suspect got into a argument regarding treatment of the children. The argument escalated and became physical when the suspect strangled and battered the victim. Children tried to interven when they were also battered. Suspect identified. Arrest warrant pending at this time.

Traffic stop was conducted on a stolen vehicle. Driver was arrested and a handgun as located inside the vehicle. Subject was transported and booked into SF ADC with out incident.

Suspect: 48 YOM
Deputy made contact with victim who reported a domestic disturbance that occurred sometime at the end of November. Through investigation, it was learned the suspect battered the victim and damaged her cell phone to prevent her from calling law enforcement. An arrest warrant for the suspect is pending at this time.
2023007190 / Missing person / 12-11-2023

Missing: Kyle J. Fares 38 YOM
Kyle was last heard from on December 1, 2023. Kyles resides in Santa Fe, NM. Kyle was not located at his residence during a welfare check and his whereabouts are unknown. It remains unknown what Kyle was wearing when he was last seen. Case is under investigation.
Case #2023007187 Unattended Death
Deputy Assigned: J. Rivera

Location: Hansen Lane, Santa Fe
Decedent: 91 YOA female, Santa Fe
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a 91 year old female not conscious and not breathing. Deputies were advised the female had a DNR order in place. Medics arrived on scene and confirmed the female had passed away. Deputies did not observe any signs of foul play. The Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) responded to the scene and took over the investigation. OMI confirmed no signs of foul play.
Case #2023007186 Battery against a household member

Location: Valle Vista Court, Santa Fe
Suspect: Daniel Garcia, 37 YOA male, Santa Fe
Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a domestic disturbance. Deputies were advised the suspect pushed his mother, a household member, several times during an argument. The suspect left prior to deputies arrival. A warrant was issued for the suspects arrest.

Victim reported she went to withdraw money from her bank account and learned she had insufficient funds. Victim alleges unknown suspect(s) stole her money. Victim is unsure who stole the money and is currently compiling documentation from her banking institution to help identify a suspect. Amount stolen is over $35,000.00. Case is under investigation.

Deputy responded to location in reference to an unresponsive male not breathing. EMS and law enforcement arrived on scene and found no signs of life. No signs of foul play are suspected. Cause of death is pending at this time.
