Deputies responded to the report of a burglary. Investigation revealed a male entered a residence and proceeded to steal handtools and cash from the victim while they were not at the residence. VIdeo footage was captured of the incident. The case is an open, active investigation.

Subject was stopped for a traffic violation and found to have an active warrant for his arrest out of the Rio Arriba Magistrate Court for failing to appear. Subject was arrested and booked into SFADC without further incident.

Arrested: Carmelita Griego 36 yoa female (Espanola)
Deputies made contact with female as she was in the parking lot of the complex. Carmelita was found to have an active warrant for her arrest issued by Santa Fe Magistrate Court. Subject was arrested and during a search incident to the arrest of her person, she was found to be in possession Fentanyl. She was booked into SFADC without further incident.

The warrants were issued by the Moriarty Municipal Court for Failure to appear and the Torrance County Magistrate Court for failing to pay fines on Torrance County Oridinance violations regarding junk vehicles and trash. He was taken to SFADC and booked without incident.
