Sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. on 8-18-08 an unknown person(s) cut the locks and unlawfully entered three portable storage containers on the above property.  The property owner is currently out of state and it is unknow if anything was stolen.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Victim reported that a table saw valued at $4,500 was taken from a constrruction site sometime over the weekend.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Location of incident: Lone Butte General Store 3815 NM 14

 On 8/19/08 at approx 0218hrs/am Deputy responded to an alarm, and discovered that the front doors were opened/broken. The owner arrived and confirmed the burglary. It could not be determined what exactly was stolen at this time, until an inventory could be taken. Investigation continues.

Charges: Distribution of a Controlled Substance

Defendant was arrested on the above charge after he was found to be in possession of 11 bags of suspected Marijuana, 6 scales, 9 pipes, and $112.00 of US. Currency. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

Location: Area of Caja Del Oro Grant Road

Victim reports she and her husband went to deliver items to an acquaintance's residence. The acquaintance became angry over the condition of the items and an argument ensued. The acquaintance and her daughter and daughter's husband reportedly began throwing rocks and gravel at the victim while she and her family were sitting in the car. The acquaintance later called the victim and also made threats over the phone. The suspects had not been located or contacted at the time of report.

Location: I-25 mm 283.5, Santa Fe, NM

Victim: 64 year old male, Santa Fe, NM

On 8/17/08, at about 2:31am, a motor vehicle crash occurred at the above location. The vehicle had been traveling southbound on the interstate and veered left of center, entered a critical speed yaw, and rolled into the median. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. Alcohol was not considered a factor at the time of the on-scene investigation.

Arrested: Fidel Aparicio - age 26, Santa Fe, NM

Above suspect was found sitting in the driver seat of a vehicle, parked partially on the roadway and a driveway. He was found to show signs of impairment and in control of the vehicle. The driver was arrested and submitted to a breath test, in which his BrAC was .10, .12.

Arrested: Sylvia Gurule - age 65, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect was traveling east bound on Airport Road, unable to maintain a lane and traveling in west bound traffic. Driver was stopped and found to show signs of impairment. Driver was arrested and had a BrAC of .11, .11.

Arrested: Albert Gonzales - age 47, Pecos, NM

Driver was observed traveling at a high rate of speed at the above location. Deputy made contact with driver and smelled strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. The driver showed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested. The driver refused to provide a breath sample.

On 08-17-2008 the victim reported that his black in color Mazda truck broken into while it was parked at the Santa Fe Rail Trail on Rabbit Road. The incident occurred between 1:30pm and 4:00pm. Taken from his vehicle was his wallet with $10.00 cash and a Satelite Radio Kit. Case is currently under investigation.
