On the above date the above named defendant was traveling on Airport Rd, adn said defendant failed to maintain his lane of traffic by crossing over the center line twice.  Defendant showed signs of impairment and admitted to drinking two beers and wine.  A breath test was conducted where the defendant had a .16 alcohol content.  He also had his grandson with hinm who was not properly restrained in the vehicle.  The defendant was arrested and transported to the adult detention center.

On the above date, the above named defendant was arrested without incident at the above location on a bench warrant out of the Santa Fe Municipal Court.  He was transported and booked at the Santa Fe County detention center


0208002841 Burglary 04-06-08

Location: 32 Camino Otilia (Nambe, NM)

On the above date, the above officer responded to the above location regarding a burglary investigation.  Upon speaking with the vicitm, she advised that between the hours of 12:00 noon and 9:30pm unknown person(s) entered her home and stole a Dell Laptop computer, approximately 40 DVD's and a Los Alamos National Laboratory security badge.  There were no signs of forced entry into the home.

Location: Centaurus Ranch Road / Aldea Subdivision / La Tierra Area

Stolen: $2,800.00 Refrigerator

A realtor reported that someone had burglarized a new home that was furnished but not lived in. The realtor could not provide a time or date when this theft occurred. The investigation revealed that unknown suspect(s) removed a bedroom window and climbed inside to access the residence. The suspect(s) then opened the attached garage door from the inside and removed a Bosch refrigerator valued at $2,800.00 from the kitchen area by loading the item in a truck that was backed into the garage. Evidence was obtained at the scene and the investigation is open.

Location: Erika Road / La Cienegilla Area

Deputies responded to a neighbor dispute/road rage incident that involved a restraining order. Both neighbors had conflicting stories as to what had transpired but a restraining order was in effect between the parties involved.

One neighbor reported that the other drove up in front of his residence and was brandishing a knife. The other neighbor reported that the first neighbor had pointed a gun at him while assisted by two other men armed with a knife and crowbar. No one was injured and due to conflicting stories, the case will be forwarded to the District Attorney's Office for review.

Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute at above location. Upon Officer's arrival, the defendant assaulted Sgt. Post by attempting to slap him The defendant actively resisted arrest at the scene. She was taken into custody and booked accordingly into the Santa Fe County Detention Center.

Location: Camino Carlos Rael at SF River area / West Alameda Area

Arrested: Ronnie J. Martinez, 35 yoa, Santa Fe, NM

Charges: DWI, Carless Driving, No Insurance

The above named defendant was transported to St. Vincent's Hosptial for treatement for a broken leg that was sustained as a result of a motorcycle crash somewhere in teh area of Camino Carlos Rael and the Santa Fe River. The defendant admitted to driving and was found to be under the influence of liquor. The defendant was arrested and submitted to a blood test. He was taken into surgery and will be summoned to appear in court at a later date due to the extent of his injuries.

Suspect: Raymond Acosta    Age: 50         Corrales NM

Raymond Acosta was stopped for speeding on I-25 near the St. Francis exit, 82mph in a 65 mph zone.  Acosta was found to be impaired with an open container of beer.  Acosta was arrested for DWI and his breath results were .08 or greater.


Case #:02082798 / Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision / 4-4-2008

Location: Camino La Tierra / 813 feet east of West Wildflower Drive

Victim: Cailin Icken, 17 yoa, Santa Fe, NM

The above listed juvenile victim was operating a motor vehicle on Camino La Tierra traveling towards SR599 from West Wildflower. While traveling in a posted 40 MPH zone, the vehicle involved left the roadway on the right hand side and the driver overcorrected to the left. The driver then lost control and attempted to once again correct the vehicles path of travel by swerving to the right, effectively placing the vehicle in a yaw leaving the roadway on the right side. The vehicle struck an embankment broadside and rolled causing the driver to be partially ejected out the sun roof of the vehicle. No seatbelt usage was found on behalf of the driver. Driver was pronounced deceased on scene by Deputy Medical Investigator Leonard Romero. Notification of next of kin has been completed.

Victim left the door to his residence unlocked along with the door to his vehicle. He left his residence for a short time and when he returned he noticed several items missing from his residence and vehicle to include a Phillips TV, Salomon skis, Line skis and Dynastar skis.
