Charges: DWI (Felony) Criminal Damage to Property, Assault on a Peace Officer

The above suspect was stopped after failing to signal a right hand turn onto Colony Drive. upon contacting the driver the odor of alcoholic beverages was detected on his breath.The driver refused to perform any of the field sobriety test and wa placed under arrest. As the deputy attempted to retreave the drivers identification from the drivers wallet he became combative and kicked out the window of the patrol unit and attempted to kick deputy Brian Nissen. Driver had 4 prior DWI violations on his driving history. a search warrant was obtained and a blod sample was obtained. The driver was booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Center.


Aggravated DWI, Resisting Arrest

location: Airport Road At San Felipe

 at 22:32 hours on Saturday March 29, 2008 deputy Peters observed a vehicle stopped on the side of the road on San Felipe Road possibly having mechanical problems. Upon contacting the driver the strong odor of alcoholic beverages was detected on the drivers breath. while speaking to the driver he began attempting to use his cell phone and was instructed to stop. the suspect became combative  and had to tased. the driver refused to submitt to a breath test and was booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Center.

The victim reported that someone had been fraudulently charging pornography to her bank account on the internet for three years. The total estimated amount charged was approximately $3,500.00. The case is under investigation.

The above named juvenile ranaway from Santa Fe High School on 3-28-08. A missing person flag form was issued to the State of NM vital statistics and the juvenile was entered into NCIC. Clothing description is unknown.

Charges: AGGRAVATED DWI

On 3/29/08, 2:40am Deputy responded to a call of a vehicle in the middle of the roadway. The suspect was found asleep behind the wheel, with the keys in the ignition. Suspect admitted to having a few drinks, an he had an open bottle of Vodka. Suspect refused to take field sobriety tests and a breath test. Suspect arrested and charged accordingly.

Suspect/arrested: John Boniface , 21 La Resolana, Espanola NM AGE 56

Charges: Battery against a hosehold member, Negligent use of a deadly weapon

On 3/28/08, 10:00pm Deputies responded to  21 La Resolana in reference to a domestic dispute, in which the the suspect pushed and kicked his girlfriend several times as a result of an argument over a handgun. Both subjects were highly intoxicated, and suspect was found in possession of a .45 cal semi-auto,. Suspect was arrested, booked and charged accordingly.

Suspect/arrested: Naayaitch Friday age 25

Charges: Aggravated DWI, Possession of a controled substance: Marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Driving on roadways laned for traffic, Driver must be licensed, Open container, No insurance, City of Santa Fe Municipal Court Bench Warrant/ Failure to comply.

On 3/28/08 7:48pm, suspect was driving a 1998 Chev Yukon bearing NM HFP-397, and was stopped for crossing the center dividing line. Suspect was found to be impaired, after given field sobriety tests. Suspect was arrested and charged accordingly. Suspect breath alcohol content was .21/.21

Suspect #2:  Fabian Gonzalez, 26, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

On 3-28-2008, at 1:33 AM, Suspect #1 was operating the vehicle south at the location and failed to stop for a red traffic control signal.  Suspect #1 was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and refused to submit to a Breathalyzer Test.  Suspect #1 faile to bring the vehicle toa stop when given a command to do so and was also in possession of an open bottle of Jose Cuervo tequillia.  The Victim was a passenger in the vehicle and was under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had become so in the presence of Suspect #1.  Suspect #2, who was also a passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of a smoking device which contained a burnt residue of a suspected controlled substance.


Case #: 0208002575 / Suicide / 3/27/2008

Location: Estacada Court / Eldorado Subdivision

Victim: 75 yoa female

Deputies responded to a report of a missing 75 year old female that was suffering from serious medical conditions. A search of the area led to the discovery of the victim's vehicle parked approximately 1 mile away from the residence on a dirt road. The victim was found deceased inside her vehicle with a self inflicted gunshot wound and a suicide note. The investigation revealed that the cause of death was suicide. No evidence of foul play was discovered and the case was turned over to Sheriff's Investigations.
