Sometime between 3/12/08, at about 10:00am and 3/15/08, at about 10:00am, someone forced entry into a shed at the above location and stole a welder.  Suspects and witnesses are unknown at this time.

Suspect:  Ivan Martinez, age 32, Hernandez, NM

Charged:  Bench warrant out of Santa Fe Municipal Court charging failure to appear, Bench warrant out of Espanola Municipal Court charging failure to appear

On 3/16/08 deputies were responding to a suspicious activity at above location.  Suspect was found hiding outside of the residence.  Suspect had a warrant out of Santa Fe Municipal Court for failure to appear.  He was arrested, transported, and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  It was later found out that a second warrant out of Espanola Municipal Court was located and served on the suspect for failure to appear.

Location of arrest:  3195 Jemez Road, Santa Fe, NM (off Airport Road)

Suspect:  Justin Garcia, age 21, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  DWI, Careless Driving

On 3/17/08 driver was observed running a flashing red light at Airport Road and Calle Atajo.  Driver was stopped at above location.  Driver was found to be impaired and was placed under arrest. Driver was read the NM Implied Consent Act and agreed to be tested.  Driver was transported to St. Vincent Hospital for medical clearance.  Driver provided a blood sample.  Driver was then transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center


Case#:  0208002197/ Aggravated Battery with a deadly weapon, Service of documents/ Date:  03/16/08

Location:  Diablo Canyon, Santa Fe, NM (off of Camino la Tierra)

suspects:  Daniel Martinez, age 22, Santa Fe, NM

Victims:  21 year old male, 22 year old male, and 18 year old male

Charged:  Bench warrant out of Magistrate Court in Santa Fe for failure to pay fines

On 3/16/08 at about 0206 hours, Deputies were dispatched to St. Vincent Hospital in reference to a male subject who was stabbed in the area of Diablo Canyon and he was enroute to the hospital.  Victims were at a party at the above location and a fight broke out.  Victim (21 year old) sustained several large stab wounds to his back and a laceration to his arm. Victim (22 year old) whose also suspect sustained a stab wound to his index finger.  He was served with an active bench warrant out of Magistrate court for failure to pay fines.  He was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  Victim (18 year old) sustained a laceration to his face and to the left side of his head.  CID was called and took over investigation.  It is unknown on who had done the stabbings.


Case#:  0208002193/ DWI, Failure to maintain traffic lane/ Date:  03/16/08

Suspect:  Oscar Rodriguez-Ortiz, age 43, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  DWI, Failure to maintain traffic lane

The driver was travelling eastbound on Airport Road not able to maintain his traffic lane.  The driver was found to be impaired and was arrested.  He was read the NM Implied Consent and submitted to a breath test.  His Brac was .10 and .09.  He was then transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.


Case#:  0208002191/ Aggravated DWI, Open Container, Driver must be licensed/ Date:  03/15/08

Location of arrest:  1489 Zepol Road, Santa Fe, NM (off Airport Road)

Suspect:  Francisco Javier Rivas, age 30, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Aggravated DWI, Open Container, Driver must be licensed

On 3/15/08 at 2319 hours a traffic stop was conducted at the above location.  The vehicle was observed travelling westbound on Airport Road without headlamps in operation.  Upon making contact with the driver, he displayed several signs of impairment.  The suspect submitted to SFST's and displayed signs of impairment.  Suspect was found to have an open 12 oz. bottle of Corona beer in side the vehicle.  He did not possess a valid driver's license.  Suspect was taken into custody and agreed to submit to a breath test his Brac were .17, and .15.  Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.


0208-2210/ Warrant Arrest/ 3-16-08

Charges: Magistrate Court Warrant for failure to appear.

During a welfare check contact was made with the above female. It was determined that she had an outstanding warrant and she was arrested.

Charges: Pending

A 37 year old woman went to visit her boyfriends brother. She stated that the male became angry and threw her to the ground, threw a rim at her car and hit her in the face with a 2 x 4 board. The female had a very minor injury to her forearm. Contact was made with the male who stated that the famale came over and began to ram into his car and a guests car with her vehicle. He then asked her to leave at which time she almost ran over him with the car. Each person had witnesses to their story. Due to conflicting stories the case is under investigation.

Victim: 80 year old male

 

The above male was found unresponsive in a hot tub. Victim had a history of heart trouble. There were no signs of foul play.
