The driver made a left turn onto SR 599 from CR 62 and failed to stop for the posted stop sign. Driver had a strong odor of a consumed alcoholic beverage and was found to be impaired. Driver had a BrAC .09, .08. Driver also had a suspended driver's license for non-payment of child support. Suspect was arrested, transported, and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

On 2/17/08, deputies were dispatched to Madison Rd. in reference to a domestic disturbance. RECC advised that the suspect had already fled the area in which he was located at the above location by other deputies. Victim advised that the suspect had grabbed her by the hair and also the neck area with his hands. She also stated that he grabbed a hammer head which was on the counter and threatened to kill her and make her life miserable. Suspect was then arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

A corrections Officer conducted a search of inmates cell. During the search narcotics were found in the cell along with drug paraphernalia. The items were taken in as evidence and will be tested.

Deputies were involved in a High Speed Pursiut with a grey Chevrolet pick-up that fled from Deputy Markley in the Area of County road 56A. Deputy Markley initially tried to stop the vehicle for speeding. The driver threw cans of beer out of the window during the pursuit which led Deputies on to I-25 and back into Santa Fe. The driver drove in a reckless manner and the pursuit was terminated. The pick-up was found abandoned near Las Campanas Sub-Division. The driver was not immediately located. Case is under investigation.

Charged: Resisting, Evading or obstructing an officer, Aggravated DWI, Driver to be licensed, No Insurance
On 2/16/08 at 0336 hours it was reported to RECC that a Silver in color Jeep was stopped at the above intersection in the left turn lane of northbound State Rd. 14 with the suspect asleep in the driver's seat. Upon arrival the doors to teh vehicle were locked. When I awoke the suspect the vehicle rolled forward as it was still in gear. Suspect then rolled the driver's side window down and deputy shut off the vehicle. Upon ordering suspect out of teh vehicle he refused by holding onto the steering wheel and therefore he had to be extracted from the vehicle. Suspect had the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. SFST's were not performed due to suspect having to be forcefully taken into custody. Suspect submitted to a breath test in which the results were .17, .16. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.
