Suspect:  Steven Jimenez, age 23, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Bringing contraband into a jail, DWI, Open Container, Possession of drug parapharnalia, possession of marijuana less than 1 oz.

Vehicle:  1973 Chevrolet pickup bearing GWT767, blue in color

Dispatch received a report of a reckless driver heading west on Airport Road at a high rate of speed.  The vehicle then turned into the Shell gas station at the intersection of Airport Rd & Old Airport Rd.  The vehicle was located by Deputy Suazo and he intiated a traffic stop.  Upon contact with driver signs of impairment were observed.  SFST's were performed and signs of impairment were noted.  Suspect was then placed under arrest.  During a patdown search drug parapharnalia items were located in his front left pocket and a small baggie of marijuana.  During vehicle inventory a bottle of Crown Royal with 1/3 of contents missing was located inside the vehicle.  New Mexico Implied Consent was read and suspect was tested and Brac was .11,.11.  After transport to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center 2 marijuana roaches containing marijuana were located in the white inhaler after the driver insisted that he hold onto it for medical reasons.  Suspect was then booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Center.

Stolen: Glass Jar with Misc. Coin

The victim reported that someone had burglarized her residence by entering through the unlocked front door. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a glass jar that contained approximately $30.00 in change.

Stolen Property: iPod MP3 Player

The victim reported that someone had burglarized their vehicle while it was parked at the Santa Fe Community College. The suspect(s) shattered the driver's side front window and stole an iPod Mini from inside.

Location: County Road 88 at Gould Lane / La Puebla

Arrested: Michael Martinez, 43 yoa Chimayo, NM

Charges: Driving While License is Suspended or Revoked, Speeding, No Insurance

Deputy Lucero was patrolling County Road 88 when he detected a vehicle traveling 19 miles over the posted speed limit. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was found to have his NM Driver's License revoked and his vehicle had no insurance. The driver was arrested and booked accordingly.

Pedro Garcia was arrested for Aggravated DWI in the Casitas de Sant Fe Mobile Home Park after being stopped for Disorderly/suspiciuos activity in his 2002 Suzuki Jeep and found to be an impaired driver.

County employee reported that somrtime between 5:00pm10/24/07 and 7:40am 10/27/07, unknown person(s) broke into the office at the Transfer Station, by breaking the front door glass window. Office was rummaged through but nothing was stolen. A John Deere backhoe console was also damage. Estimated damage $200.00.

Victim reported that sometime between 10/18/07 and 10/26/07, unknown person(s) BURGLARIZED  his 1993 Plymouth Acclaim while parked at his residence and stole 4 tires from the trunk, and a Santa Fe County Fire Department hand held I-COM radio. Investigation continues.

Victim reported that sometime between 8:00am and 1200pm on 10/27/07,unknown person(s) piled some drywall tools, painting supplies, ladder and paper on top of the deck near the rear door/electrical outlet, and started a fire. State Fire Marshall ruled the fire an arson/criminal damage over $1000.00. Victim suspects that her ex-boyfriend may be involved. Investigation continues.
