On Sunday, May 29th, 2022 deputies conducted an extradition for a person who had been arrested in Phoenix, AZ and had an extraditable warrant out of the First Judicial District Court. The subject was transported to Santa Fe and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Location: Agua Fria St./San Ysidro Crossing, Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Arturo Morales-Guerrero (31 YOM)

On Sunday, May 29th, 2022, deputies were patrolling the above area when they observed a vehicle committing a traffic infraction. Contact was made with the driver and they were found to have an active bench warrant out of the Santa Fe County Magistrate Court. The driver was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Arrested: Arturo Morales Guerrero (31 YOM)

On Sunday, May 29th, 2022 deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction. Upon coming into contact with the driver, they discovered he had an active bench warrant out of the Santa Fe County Magistrate Court. He was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.


2022003139/ UNATTENDED DEATH

LOCATION: EAST DOUGLAS AVE. STANLEY, NM

DECEASED: 75-YEAR OLD WHITE MALE- IDAHO RESIDENT

On 5-29-2022 RECC was contacted in reference to an unresponsive 75-year old male. The male was found deceased in his home. There were no signs of foul play nor was the death found suspicious, as OMI was called. The investigation was turned over to OMI Field Investigation.

On 5-28-22 the victim reported someone opened an "Acorns" investment banking account using her name, date of birth and social security number.

Location: Serena / Vista Del Monte (Santa Fe)

Arrested: Patrick Lucero 43 yoa male (Las Vegas)

Deputies were dispatched to a crash in the above area. Deputies located the subject in his vehicle which was high centered on a large boulder. Subject was found to have operated the vehicle while intoxicated and was arrested. Subject refused to submit to chemical testing. Subject was booked into SFADC.

Victim had 1600 dollars fraudulently charged to his credit card dating. There was no suspect information.

2022003116 / Bomb Scares Unlawful / 5-27-22

Deputy assigned: G. Nieto

Location McDonald's (Pojoaque)

Suspect: juvenile male

On 5-27-22 at about 8:30pm a bomb threat was called in to the McDonald's in Pojoaque New Mexico. The manager received the call and immediately called 911 to report it.  The Sheriff's Office and Pojoaque Police responded and evacuated the McDonald's and the Taco Bell next door.  An investigation  ensued and it was discovered a juvenile male called in the bomb threat.  The juvenile was located and questioned.  He stated it was a prank and there was no real bomb.  The exterior and interior of the building were searched prior to letting employees back inside.
