Stole: Auto Battery and a set of keys (Value $390.00)

Deputies were dispatched in response to a reported burglary of a motor vehicle at the address above. The victim indicated that she and her boyfriend had a verbal argument the previous night.  Her boyfriend left the residence; however, he returned later, opened the rear sliding glass window of the truck, and took the identified items. Efforts to contact the suspect were made but were unsuccessful.

Location: Via De Las Estrellas, Santa Fe, NM

Stolen: Wine refridgerator, photos, Tool boxes (Total Value $15000.00)

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival, deputies met with the home caretaker and learned that an unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through a window. While inside the residence, the suspect(s) unlawfully took the above-listed items. 


2024003811 Possession of a Controlled Substance

Location: Cerrillos and Beckner Rd

Arrested: Jerry Garcia 54 YOM, Santa Fe NM

Suspects vehicle was noticed to have expired registration and a traffic stop was conducted. It was also noticed that he was in possesion of narcodics. He was placed under arrest and transported to jail.


Case #2024003802 // Aggravated DUI, Failure to Maintain Lane, Open Container - 7/23/2024

Location: Cerrillos Road

Arrested: Omar Azturias-Sanchez (38 YO)

Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle due to it failing to maintain traffic lane. A DUI investigation was conducted and the driver showed signs of impairment. Suspect refused a breath test and was charged accordingly. 


Case #2024003801 // Warrant Arrest - 7/23/2024

Arrested: Douglas Hutchinson (58 YO)

While on a call for service, Deputies identified the male and discovered he had an active warrant from NMSP for failure to appear on the original charge on expired registration. Subject was arrested. 


Case #2024003800 // Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle - 7/23/2024

Vehicle: 2017 Chevy Silverado, white (NM BDYR58)

Victim advised while parked at a convenience store, he went inside the store to buy items, and a female who was with him stole his vehicle while he was in the store. 


Case 2024003786, 3788-Driving while license revoked/warrant service- 07/23/24

Location: Santiago LN

Arrested: Steven Montoya 34 YOM

Deputies made contact with Mr. Montoya at the location after observing him driving a vehicle and confirming Mr. Montoya had a revoked driver's license. Mr. Montoya also had a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear with the original charge of Driving while his license was revoked. Mr. Montoy was transported and booked into Santa Fe ADC


Case 2024003787-Burglary-7/23/2024

Location: Piedras Negras (Old Santa Fe Trail) 

Victim: 63 YOF

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a burglary. The victim advised she noticed jewelry missing from her closet. After reviewing her surveillance cameras she observed an unknown male enter her residence on July 22, 2024, at approximately 11:30 am. No further information is available at this time.

Stolen Vehicle: 2013 White Honda Crosstour (NM BLBR46) 

Deputies responded to the address in reference to the victim's vehicle being stolen. Victim advised she had lent her vehicle to her daughter early July, and believes the daughters boyfriend may have taken it sometime after.

Traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle. Driver was found to have a warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of speeding and subsequently arrested.
