Arrestee:Yadira Venegas Santillon 29YOF

Deputies were dispatched to the U.S. 84/285 at the 168 mile-marker in reference to a female who had a valid warrant for her arrest. Chief Luginbuhl with the Tesuque Police Department stopped a vehicle and discovered the driver, Ms. Santillon, had a warrant for her arrest. The warrant is for failing to appear on orginal charges no insurance and no registration. Ms. Santillon was arrested without incident.

Address Paseo Encantado SW, Santa Fe County

Victim: 42 YOM

Today, deputies were dispatched to a stolen vehicle report. Upon arrival and investigation, an unknown person(s) stole the victim's trailer which had a machine on it. The machine is used to make roofing panels. The total worth of both is approximately 22,000 dollars. There is no suspect information at this time. 


Case#2024000403/Burglary(Commercial)-Unlawful Taking of Vehicle-Criminal Damage/1-22-24

Address: Dinosaur Trail, Santa Fe County

Victim: 54 YOM

Deputies were dispatched to a commercial burglary report. Upon investigation, it was determined, several items were stolen. Entry was gained by damaging/cutting through a fence. The items stolen consisted of building material (wood panels), 3 generators, concrete jumping jacks, and a white 2005 GMC truck (flat bed). The estimated worth of the stolen items is approximately 41,500 dollars. There is no suspect information at this time.  


Case 2024000405 / Identity Theft / 01/22/24

Commander Entering: Sgt. Valentino Baca

Location: 2284 Henry Lynch Road

Victim: 60 YOF (Santa Fe County)

Deputies were dispatched to a call for service in reference to Identifty Theft. The victim stated she received two W2s in the mail with her personal information. One W2 was from Western Refiling and the other from TBI INC; The victim stated she is unemployed and has not worked. No suspect information is available at this time.     


Case#2024000402/Fraud-Identity Theft/1-22-24

Victim: 44 YOF

Deputies were dispatched to a report of fraud. Upon investigation, an unknown person(s) used the Victim's maiden name and charged 2,673.66 dollars to an Ikea account. The Victim was made aware as she recieved a letter from a debt collector, indicating she now owes the aforementioned amount.  


Case #2024000397 / Driving While License Revoked - 1/21/2024

Location: Highway 285 (Eldorado) 

Arrested: Juan Hernandez (52 YO) 

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle due to the vehicle having expired registration and insurance. Contact was made with the driver, who had a revoked drivers license due to a DWI. Juan was arrested and charged accordingly.

Arrested: Letasha Montoya (35 YO) 

Female was identified during a traffic stop due to not wearing a seatbelt. and found to have active warrants. Warrants were for the following: Failure to appear on the original charges of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Receiving/Transferring a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Receiving Stolen Property. Failure to appear on the original charge of Trafficking a Controlled Substance.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop, and driver of the vehicle was found to have several active warrants for the following: Failure to appear on the original charge of forgery (x3). Failure to appear on the original charge, various traffic offenses. 


Case #2024000377 / Receiving/Transferring a Stolen Motor Vehicle - 1/21/2024

Deputy Assigned: M. Olivas

Location: Mile Marker 276 Interstate 25 

Arrested: Ralph Cheykaychi (37 YO)

Deputies received a BOLO for a stolen vehicle in the Santa Fe area, and after conducting surveillance were able to locate the vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver admitted to stealing the vehicle. Suspect was found to also have 4 active arrest warrants for the following: Failure to pay for original charge of Resisting/Evading. Failure to appear on original charges of Battery Against a Household Member and Larceny. Failure to appear on orignal charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (x2) and Shoplifting. Failure to comply on original charge of Aggravated Assault Against a Household Member.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of burglary. Upon investigation, it was determined, an unknown person(s), broke a window to the Victim's vehicle and stole several items. At this time, there is no suspect information.
