Victim: Pojoaque Valley School District

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to Identity Theft.  The Pojoaque Valley IT Director reported a cyber attack that occurred on Friday May 24, 2024, at approximately 3:45 am. The district's cyber security company was able to stop the suspect(s) during the incident. The suspect(s) were able to transfer approximately 2.9 gigs of personal information.  The district has taken steps to secure their information and notify those affected.


Case #2024002708 Driving while license revoked, Resisting evading or obstructing and officer.

Location: 33 Mile Marker NM 14, Santa Fe

Suspect: David Ibarra, 41 YOA male, Santa Fe

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an inoperable headlamp. Deputies contacted the driver who advised his license was revoked due to a previous DWI. The driver provided deputies with his information. The driver then fled the scene. A summons was issued.


Case #2024002706 Battery Against a Household Member.

Deputy Assigned: L. Abeyta

Location: Quail Run, Santa Fe

Suspect: Adam Sargent, 44 YOA male, Santa Fe

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a domestic disturbance. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted the victim. Deputies were advised the victim and the suspect had been in a verbal argument. The victim asked the suspect to drop her off at her house. Upon exiting the suspect’s vehicle, the suspect struck the victim in the head. The suspect left the scene prior to deputy’s arrival. A summons was issued.     


Case #2024002707 Unattended Death

Deputy Assigned: D. Moore

Location: Summer Night Road, Santa Fe

Deceased: 67 YOA male, Santa Fe

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to an assistance with ambulance. Deputies arrived on scene and were advised by the calling party that she had woken up and observed her husband was not conscious and not breathing. Medics arrived on scene and determined the decedent was beyond life saving measures. No signs of foul play were observed. The Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) was contacted to complete an investigation.    


Case #2024002703 Assault on a Household Member

Location: Coyote Loco Road, Santa Fe

Suspect: Juvenile, Santa Fe

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to an assistance call. Deputies arrived on scene and were advised the suspect had battered a household member at the location. The report was forwarded to JPO.


Case#2024002694/Battery on a Household Member/5-28-24

Assigned: Cpl. F Hernandez

Entering: Sgt. C Valencia

Location 2000 Block of Henry Lynch Road, Santa Fe, NM

Arrested: Luis Calles-Montes, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, Deputies learned the suspect pushed and held the victim down on the bed in the bedroom. The victim was treated on the scene for injuries. The suspect was placed under arrest, transported, and booked accordingly without incident.


Case 2024002684-Aggravated DWI(Refusal)-Careless Driving

Assigned-Cpl. G. Nieto

Entering- Cpl. G. Nieto

US 84-285/MM 168 (Santa Fe County)

Arrested- Joseph Martinez 60YOM (Santa Fe, NM)

Driver crashed into two parked cars on the shoulder that were changing a tire. Driver agreed to SFST's and dispalyed signs of impairment. Driver was arrested and refused chemical testing. Driver was arrested and booked into SF ADC with out incident.


Case# 2024002676 - Unattended Death - 5/26/2024

Assigned Deputy: R. Vallejo

Commander Entering: Cpl: F. Hernandez 

Location: San Marcos Loop, Santa Fe NM 

Deceased:  Female (86 YOA)

Deputies responded to the location in reference to an assistance ambulance call for service. Upon arrival Deputies performed lifesaving procedures with medical personnel. Medical personnel advised no signs of life were observed and advised to contact the Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI). The Investigator arrived and conducted his investigation. Deputies and the Investigator determined the deceased passed away from natural causes.


Case #2024002669 Aggravated DWI

Location: Siringo Rd/Pacheco St, Santa Fe

Arrested: Angel Lopez 31 YOA male, Santa Fe

Deputies were dispatched to assist Santa Fe Police with a motorist who had ran out of gas at the location. Upon arrival deputies observed signs of impairment on the driver. The driver was arrested for DWI. The driver refused to submit to a breath test. The driver was then booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility accordingly.   


Case #2024002665 Criminal Damage to Property

Deputy Assigned: L. Abeyta

Location: 300 blk NM 76, Santa Fe

Deputies were dispatched to a report of a weapons infraction. Deputies were advised an unknown suspect(s) had fired a gun in the area. The bullet from the gun struck the residence causing damage to a wall and door. It is unknown who fired the gun at this time.
