Deputies responded to the location to assist Pojoaque Police on a traffic stop. Deputies observed signs of impairment on the driver. The driver was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.
Case #2023007431 Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Location: Yucca Way, Santa Fe
Arrested: Dewayne Anstey, 36 YOA male, Santa Fe
Deputies responded to the location in reference to a weapons infraction. Deputies learned that the suspect threatened individuals at the location with a firearm while intoxicated. The subject was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.
Case#2023007419, Burglary and Larceny, 12-23-2023

Entered: Sgt. C Valencia
Location: Crow View Place, Santa Fe, NM
Stolen: Purse, Credit Cards, Passport, Drivers License, and Check Book. (Total Value $500)
Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival deputies learned that an unknown suspect(s) unlawfully entered the victims vehicle and took the above items. The victim was able to cancel her credit cards before suspects were able to use them.
Case #2023007417 / AGG DUI, Negligent use of a Deadly Weapon - 12/23/2023

Location: US 84/285 & Viarrial Street (Pojoaque)
Arrested: Joshua Leyba-Trujillo (23 YO)
Deputies were dispatched to the intersection due to a vehicle being parked in the intersection blocking traffic. Suspect had several firearms inside of the vehicle, and while making contact had an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Suspect admitted to drinking, and showed signs of impairment during SFST's. Suspect had a BRAC of 0.21/0.23 and was charged accordingly.
Case #2023007413 / AGG DUI, Open Container, Speeding - 12/22/2023

Location: NM 502, Mile Marker 11
Arrested: Robert Santistevan Jr. (33 YO)
Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a tow truck traveling 81 MPH in a 55 MPH zone. Driver had an odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath, submitted to SFST's, and signs of impariment were observed. Driver refused a breath test, and was booked accordingly.

Subject was located at his residence and arrested on an active warrant for failure to pay fines. the original charge was for possession of a controlled substance. Subject was booked into Santa Fe ADC.
Case#2023007406/Burglary-Motor Vehicle Theft-Criminal Damage/12-22-23

Victim: 89 YOF
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to the theft of a motor vehicle. Upon investigation, it was discovered that an unknown person(s) forcibly entered a garage and stole the victim's SUV. The theft occurred sometime last night, into early this morning. The vehicle is identified as a white, 2002, Toyota Rav4. There is no suspect information at this time.

Location: Rodeo Road. Galisteo Road (Santa Fe)
Arrested; Steve Segura 43 yoa male (Cerrillos) & Monica Montoya 32 yoa female (Santa Fe)
The above subjects were in a vehicle that was stopped for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop Mr. Segura and Ms. Montoya were found to have active warrants for their arrests. The warrant issued for Mr. Segura was for failing to appear out of Santa Fe Magisrtrate Court. Ms. Montoya had a warrant out of Santa Fe Magistrate.
Case#2023007390/Unattended Death/12-21-23

Victim: 47 YOF
On this date Thursday, December 21st, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to a female found deceased. The female/victim was found outside of her residence. Upon investigation, it appears that the victim suffered from depression and a disabling illness. Sometime last night or early this morning, the victim ingested a cocktail with possible narcotics mixed in it and went outside. OMI later arrived and recovered the body. Foul play is not suspected.
2023007387 Driving While License Revoked / Speeding 12/21/23

Arrested: Laura Hartwell (55 YOF)
Deputies performed a traffic stop on a 2004, Dodge Ram, 1500, at the above location. The vehicle was observed traveling 80 mph in a posted 55 zone. After contact was made with the subject, an NCIC check was conducted and it was learned she had a revoked driver’s license with the arrest clause. Laura was booked without incident.
