Victim reported she went to withdraw money from her bank account and learned she had insufficient funds. Victim alleges unknown suspect(s) stole her money. Victim is unsure who stole the money and is currently compiling documentation from her banking institution to help identify a suspect. Amount stolen is over $35,000.00. Case is under investigation.
2023007171 / Unattended death / 12-09-2023

Decedent: 33 YOM
Deputy responded to location in reference to an unresponsive male not breathing. EMS and law enforcement arrived on scene and found no signs of life. No signs of foul play are suspected. Cause of death is pending at this time.

Traffic stop was conducted on vehicle for not stopping at stop sign. Driver agreed to SFST's and showed signs of imapirment and was placed under arrest. Driver agreed to chemical testing anf results were 0.20g/210L-0.19g/210L. Driver booked into SF ADC with out incident

Deputies responded to a welfare check. While attemtoing to make contact, an individual as seen inside unresponsive. Obvious signs of death were oberved. OMI arrived on scene and conducted an investogation. No signs of foul play.

Traffic stop was conducted on vehicle or not being able to drive within its lane of travel. Driver agreed to SFSTs and showed signs of impairment. Driver was arrested and agreed to chemical testing an results were 0.14g/210L-0.14g/210L. Driver was booked into SFADC with out incident
Case #2023007164 / Distribution of a Controlled Substance - 12/9/2023

Location: SFC Adult Detention Facility, 28 Camino Justicia
Arrested: Kathryn Tohm (26 YO)
Deputies responded to the adult detention facility due to jail staff locating narcotics on an inmate while conducting a strip search. During the search, 3 packages containing 41 strips of suspected suboxone were found on the inmate. Deputies collected the substance and charged the inmate accordingly.

Arrested: Kanisha Romero (23 YO)
Deputies responded to reports of a gas leak caused by a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, Deputies observed damage to the gas and electrical meters on the street. Contact was made with the driver of the vehicle at a nearby residence, who admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the evening prior to driving home. SFST's were conducted and the female showed signs of impairment. The female was placed under arrest and charged with DWI and reckless driving.

Arrestee: John Armijo 31 YOM
Deputies arrived at a residence to serve a Temporary Restraining Order. A prior check of the person they would be serving the paperwork to, revealed, he had a valid warrant for his arrest. The warrant was for Aggravated Battery against a Household Member, Criminal Damage and Interference with Communication. Mr. Armijo was served with the T.R.O. and arrested without incident.

Victim: 29 YOF
On Friday, December 8th, 2023, deputies were dispatch to a Larceny report. Upon contact with the victim, she advised, someone stole her wallet. The wallet contained the victim's ID, debt and credit cards. The victim's debt/credit was was then used at several stores within Santa Fe. This case is currently active and on-going.

On Friday, December 8th, 2023, deputies were dispatched to a residence as the reporting party found her son unconscious and not breathing. Medical personnel arrived and deemed, the male was beyond any lifesaving procedures. The death does not appear to be suspicious and foul play is not suspected. The Office of the Medical Investigator later responded.
