While on a call for service, Deputies identified the male and discovered he had an active warrant from NMSP for failure to appear on the original charge on expired registration. Subject was arrested. 


Case #2024003800 // Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle - 7/23/2024

Vehicle: 2017 Chevy Silverado, white (NM BDYR58)

Victim advised while parked at a convenience store, he went inside the store to buy items, and a female who was with him stole his vehicle while he was in the store. 


Case 2024003786, 3788-Driving while license revoked/warrant service- 07/23/24

Location: Santiago LN

Arrested: Steven Montoya 34 YOM

Deputies made contact with Mr. Montoya at the location after observing him driving a vehicle and confirming Mr. Montoya had a revoked driver's license. Mr. Montoya also had a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear with the original charge of Driving while his license was revoked. Mr. Montoy was transported and booked into Santa Fe ADC


Case 2024003787-Burglary-7/23/2024

Location: Piedras Negras (Old Santa Fe Trail) 

Victim: 63 YOF

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a burglary. The victim advised she noticed jewelry missing from her closet. After reviewing her surveillance cameras she observed an unknown male enter her residence on July 22, 2024, at approximately 11:30 am. No further information is available at this time. 


Case #2024003572 // Unlawful Taking of a MV - 7/22/2024

Stolen Vehicle: 2013 White Honda Crosstour (NM BLBR46) 

Deputies responded to the address in reference to the victim's vehicle being stolen. Victim advised she had lent her vehicle to her daughter early July, and believes the daughters boyfriend may have taken it sometime after. 


Case #2024003782 // Warrant Arrest - 7/22/2024

Traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle. Driver was found to have a warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of speeding and subsequently arrested. 


Case #2024003763 / Unattended Death / 07/22/2024

Location: Eastview Lane (Stanley)

Decedent: 94 YOM

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a cardiac arrest.  Medical personnel were on scene and advised the patient was beyond life-saving measures.  OMI conducted a separate investigation and concurred there were no signs of suspicious activity.


Case #2024003760 // Resisting/Evading, Driving While License Revoked, Various Traffic Violations - 7/21/2024

Arrested: Gabriel Martinez (32 YO) 

Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for several traffic infractions, and the suspect initially failed to stop and later pulled into his driveway. Suspect was non-compliant with Deputies, and after being identified was found to have a revoked drivers license. Suspect was arrested and charged accordingly. 


Case #2024003761 // DUI, Open Container - 7/22/2024

Location: Henry Lynch

Arrested: Frank Dominguez-Castillo (23 YO)

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to a welfare check due to an individual calling in and advising she believed a male was going to the residence to get into an altercation with her boyfriend. Vehicle was located at the residence, and the driver admitted to comsuming alcohol. Driver submitted to testing, showed signs of impairment, and the breath test revealed results of 0.11 & 0.12 BAC. 


2024003756 Auto Burglary 07-21-24

Entering: Sgt. E. Webb Jr. 

Location: College Ave. (Santa Fe)

Stolen: Michael Kors Purse, Credit Cards, ID card

Victim reported while attending mass between 5:20 p.m. & 6:20 p.m., an unknown person broke a window to their vehicle and stole a purse which contained credit cards and identification. Case is under investigation.
