Traffic stop was conducted on vehicle for not being able to drive within its lane of travel. Driver agreed to SFST's and showed signs of impairment. Driver was arrested and agreed to chemical testing, results were 0.13g/210L.  Driver was booked into SF ADC.

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to an identity theft. Upon arrival, deputies learned the victim attempted to open an account but was denied due to her receiving unemployment. The victim stated she had never received unemployment and believes that someone used her ID to obtain unemployment.

Deputies assisted New Mexico State Police on a traffic stop at the above location. During the contact the subject was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. Subject was arrested, transported, and booked accordingly without incident. Original Charge: No insurance. Bond amount: $500.00.

On Wednesday, November 15, 2023 deputies served Jose Roman with two outstanding warrants for his arrest.  The warrants were for Aggravated Battery x3, Aggravated Assault x3, False Imprisonment, Intimidation of a Witness, Murder x2, Shooting at a Dwelling x4, Aggravated Burglary, Child Abuse x3, Assault x6, and Aggravated Fleeing a LEO.  Jose Roman was booked at the Santa Fe County Jail without incident.

Arrested: Adolfo Avitia-Garcia (29 YOM)

Deputies responded to a disorderly conduct at the above location.  Deputies learned through their investigation, the above person had an active arrest warrant.  He was placed under arrest and booked accordingly.

Suspect became irrate during a verbal altercation with victim. Subject had a knife and bit the victim. Subject broke a television in the home.Suject was arrested and booked into SF ADC.

Loss: Cash $2,748.34

Deputies were dispatched in reference to a fraud. Upon arrival, deputies learned the victim had been contacted by the "Zelle" fraud department stating that she had several unauthorized transactions on her account. The victim gave her information to the callers. The victim later discovered this was a scam and contacted her bank and law enforcement.


Case#2023006712/DWI, Driving While License Revoked, and Open Container/11-15-23

Location: Tesuque Village Road and TP 131, Santa Fe County, NM

Arrested: Rudy Abeyta, 54YOM, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies were patrolling the above area when they observed an ATV traveling on the highway. A traffic stop was conducted and during the stop, deputies smelled an odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from the driver's expelled breath. Deputies conducted a DWI investigation and the above subject performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests. The subject was placed under arrest. While conducting the DWI investigation the driver threw a beer bottle out of the vehicle. It was also discovered the subject's driver's license was revoked due to a past DWI. The subject was transported and booked accordingly without incident.

Deputies responded to the location in reference to an unresponsive male. CPR was conducted with no results. The next of KIN has been notified. no signs of foul play was observed or suspected.
