Deputies responded to a call reference fraud. The RP advised her credit card information was used to withdraw $300. 00 from her account. 


Case #2024003354 // Burglary - 7/2/2024

Location: Colina Dr

Deputies were dispatched to the location for an alarm. Upon arrival the door was found to be open, and a part of the store was in disarray. Upon review of the surveillance, two unidentified males broke into the store and stole cigarettes and liquor. Case is under investigation at this time.

Deceased: Lucas Herrera (24 YO)

Deputies were dispatched to the residence in reference to a male with a self-inflicted gunshot would. Deputies arrived to find the male beyond life-saving measures. No foul play was suspected during the investigation. 


Case #2024003348 // Warrant Arrest - 7/1/2024

Arrested: Christina Ybarra (34 YO)

Subject was incarcerated at the detention facility and found to have an active warrant out of Espanola PD for failure to pay fines on the original charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and concealing identity. 


Case #2024003349, 50, 51, 55 // Possession of a Controlled Substance, Warrant Arrest - 7/1/2024

Arrested: Daniel Castillo-Cota (31 YO)

Location: Cerrillos Rd

Deputies located a man walking towards another in an aggressive manner with a machete and stopped the suspect male. The suspect was found to have two active warrants out of SFPD for failure to appear on charges of possession of a controlled substance, criminal trespass, and concealing identity. During search of the suspect, a contact case was found with various narcotics/substances. Male was booked at the detention facility. 


2024003342- Unattended Death- 7-1-24

Deceased: 71 YOM

Deputies were dispatched to the location for a male having breathing issues who had been suffering from a variant of the COVID virus. Both his wife and responding medics performed CPR. Life-saving measures were not successful.OMI was notified and advised it was a cardiac arrest. there were not signs of foul play


2024003341- Identity theft, wire fraud- 7/1/24

Victim: 71 YOF

The victim reported she attempted to contact Net Gear Support online and contacted a rep from a phone list online. The victim said the rep purchased Apple gift cards to Home Depot and spent $3, 200. 


2024003333 / Remand order / 07-01-2024

Location: 225 Montezuma Ave Santa Fe, NM(First Judicial District Court)

Arrested: Bencomo-Mendez, Yraseli 34YOF

The subject arrived to check into drug court and was ultimately remanded into custody. The subject was placed under arrest, transported, and booked into Santa Fe County Jail. 


Case #2024003324 // Aggravated Battery upon a P.O., Possession of a Controlled Substance, Resisting/Evading - 6/30/2024

Arrested: Martin Gonzales (46 YO)

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and the passenger fled on foot. Deputies chased the suspect, and during apprehension the male punched one of the Deputies which continued with a physical altercation until the male could be apprehended. Suspect was charged accordingly. 


case 2024003318- Possession of a controlled substance- 6/30/24

Arrested: Joshua Salaza 28 YOM

The subject is an inmate at SFADC. SFADC correctional officers were conducting a routine check of the subject's cell when they located a plastic bag of cocaine. The subject was the only inmate in the cell at the time the bag was located. The subject was charged and booked on new offenses.
