Arrested: Mark Vigil, 55YOM, Albuquerque, NM

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a male walking in the middle of the road. Deputies arrived on scene and observed a male near the location meeting the description that dispatch gave. Deputies contacted the subject and learned he had an active warrant for his arrest. While searching the subject, deputies located two blue pills believed to be fentanyl. The subject was transported and booked accordingly without incident. Original Charge for warrant: Driving while license revoked, Failure to register a vehicle, and no insurance. 


Case 2023006523 /Possession of a controlled substance/Unlawful carrying of a firearm in a liquor establishment

Contact was made with subject who was foound in possession of a white powder like substance. Subject was placed under arrest and was found concealing a handgun inside a liquor establishment. Subject was arrested and booked into Santa Fe ADC with out incident.


Case#2023006510/Unattended Death/11-3-23

Location: Los Ranchos, Chimayo, NM

Deceased:29YOF, Chimayo, NM

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a cardiac/respiratory arrest. Upon arrival, family members were performing CPR on the decedent. Medics arrived on scene and determined that life-saving procedures were not effective. The decedent had recent medical issues and a history of drug abuse. OMI was contacted and conducted their investigation. Foul play is not suspected.

2023006494 Arrest Warrant, Felon in Possession of a firearm and Possession of a controlled substance

The above  person was locaed and had an active arrest warrant and is a felon, He was also found in possesion of a stolen RV,  a handgun and narcodics. He was booked and the new charges and the arrest warrant.


Case#2023006500 Unattended Death 11-02-23

Entering:Sgt E. Webb Jr. 

Location: SF County Road 44

Deceased: 69 year od male

Deputies responded to a call of a person experiencing cardiac arrest. Upon arrival the male was found to have no signs of life. The male was later pronounced deceased by the O.M.I. The male has an extensive medical history. No signs of criminal activity were located on scene and the death appears to be of natural causes.

Location: Milepost 182 US 84-285

Arrested: Jay Kingery 71 yoa male 

The subject was stopped for a traffic violation. The subject had consumed alcoholic beverages prior to driving. SFST's were conducted and signs of impairment were noted. The subject was arrested and submitted to chemical testing, which revealed a .08 BrAC. He was booked into SFADC without incident.

Loss: Money (Value $4,800.00)

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a fraud. Upon arrival deputies learned the victim had recently mailed a check to another state. The victim's bank contacted her today and advised the check had been cashed by an individual that the check was not inteded for. It was also learned the name the check was made out to was crossed out and replaced by another name.

Stolen: Cannondale Super Six Bicycle (Value$1,700.00)

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a larceny. Upon arrival deputies learned the victim left the above bicycle on his front porch. It is believed the bicycle was taken by unknown suspect(s) sometime between October 1, 2023 and October 2, 2023.
