Deputies responded to lcation in regards to an open line where two individuals were heard arguing. It was learned that suspect and victim had been verbally arguing and suspect battered victim during the verbal alertcation. Suspect was arrested and booked into SF ADC with out incident. 

Case# 2024002186 - Aggravated D.W.I / Driving while license revoked / Careless Driving / Following to Close / Immediate notice of Accidents - 4/28/24

Arrested: Jesse Romero (46YOA) 

On the above listed date Deputies responded to a motor vehicle collision on I25-mile marker 284. Deputies discovered the driver at fault fled the scene in a red in color Chevrolet pickup truck. The suspect vehicle was shortly located with the driver behind the steering wheel. The driver showed signs of impairment during the investigation. He became uncooperative and refused Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. The driver was placed under arrest on the listed charges.

Cerrillos Rd.

Traffic stop was conducted on vehicle and contact was made with the driver. Driver agreed to SFST's and displayed signs of impairment. Driver was arrested and agreed to chemical testing. Driver was boked into SF ADC with out incident. 

Case 2024002174- Agg DWI-Careless driving/Leaving the scene of an accident

Arrested- Issac Cruz 22YOM (Santa Fe, NM)

Deputies responded to a call where a vehicle backed into a wall and struck a elctrical box and left teh area. Vehicle was later located nearby along with the driver in the vehicle. Driver agreed to SFSt's and disaplyed signs of impairment. Driver was arrested and agreed to chemical testing. Driver was booked into SF ADC with out incident. 

Case#  2024002172 - Death Investigation - 4/27/24

Assigned: F. Concha 

Entering: Cpl: F. Hernandez 

Location: Village Lane, Santa Fe NM 

Deceased: Male (45 YOA)

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to an unattended death, Medical personnel arrived at the scene and advised no signs of life were present. The Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI), was contacted. Deputies and OMI, determined foul play was not present.

Case#2024002161 Agg. Fleeing, Felon in possession of a firearm, receiving or transferring stolen firearm 4-27

Entering: Sgt. E. Webb Jr. 

Location: 1600 block of W. Alameda (Santa Fe)

Arrested: Jessie Martinez 44 yoa male (Rio En Medio)

Subject was observed driving in a reckless manner at about 1:13 a.m., and a traffic stop was attempted. The vehicle fled and crashed into a wall at Sam St and W. Alameda. There was a stolen firearm located in the vehicle. The driver fled the scene and was later located and arrested. The driver was identified as Mr. Jessie Martinez who has several felony convictions and had an active warrant for his arrest for failing to comply with conditions of probation. Investigation revealed Mr. Martinez was in possession of the firearm at time of incident. Mr. Martinez was booked into SFADC without further incident. 

 

Case #2024002149 / Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle - Criminal Damage / 04/26/2024

Deputy Assigned: J. Barron

Commander Entering: Sgt. V. Baca

Location: Dinosaur Trail

Stolen: Gray in color, 2019 ATC Aluminum Trailer (bearing MT-473132C)

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to criminal damage to property and an unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. The reporting person, stated he left the property on April 25th, 2024 at approximately 5:30 pm. When he returned the following day, he noticed his chain-link fence was cut, a lock was broken and his flatbed aluminum trailer was missing. The approximate value is $12,000.00 dollars.

Case #2024002139 / Larceny - Criminal Damage to Property / 04/25/2024

Location: West Basin Ridge

Stolen: $5,600 in solar panels and gat equipment

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a larcenyy.  Between 7:00 am and 8:15 am on April 15th, the above items were stolen from the location.  No further information at this time

Case #2024002140 / Unattended Death / 04/25/2024

Deputy Assigned: F. Trujillo

Location: Serenity Lane

Decedent: 68 YOA

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a cardiac arrest.  Deputies located the decedent inside of a parked vehicle in a driveway.  The decedent was beyond any life-saving measures.  There were no signs of suspicious activity.  OMI arrived on scene and took possession of the decedent.

2024002133 Aggravated Battery / Aggravated Assault deadly weapon - 4-25-2024

Deputy Assigned: Ruben Blea

Supervisor Entering: Lt. Michael Martinez

Location: Sandia Road   Santa Fe County, NM

Arrested: Moises Ortiz     Age:55  Santa Fe, NM

Deputies were dispatched to location reference to a dispute. Upon arriving, deputies learned the suspect struck the victim with bricks causing minor injuries and then attempted running him over with a vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody and taken to jail where he was charged accordingly.
