Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a burglary. The victim stated the incident occurred between 4/4/24 and 4/5/24, 1530 to 0600. The victim said a vehicle drove through a 15 ft section of the orange construction fence and took 1000 ft of insulation from the building. No suspect information is available at this time; the case remains under investigation.

Deputies responded to I-25 in regards to a rog way driver. Vehicle was located and stopped. Driver agreed to SFST's and displayed signs of impairment. Driver was arrested and agreed to chemical testing. Results were 0.22g/210L-0.22g/210L. Driver was booked into Santa Fe ADC with out incident.

Deputies responded to a residence in regards to a domestic disturbance. It was learned the suspect struck victim and kept her from contacting the Sheriff's Office. Suspect was arressted and booked into Santa Fe ADC with out incident.
Case# 2024001782 Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle

Deputies made contact with the victim, who stated his vehicle was taken by an unknown suspect(s). The victim stated his vehicle was taken some time between Saturday April 6 through early morning Sunday April 7th. No further information is available at this time; the case is under investigation.
Case# 2024001786 Aggravated D.W.I/ Driving while license revoked

Arrested: Glenn Gabaldon 51 YOA male
The driver was stopped by a Tesuque Tribal Police officer after noticing a traffic infraction. Deputies responded to the location and discovered the driver was operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver’s license. The driver also showed signs of intoxication and performed Scandalized Field Sobriety Tests. The driver was arrested without further incident.

Deputies were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision. Deputies contacted the driver of the vehicle and observed signs of impairment. The driver was then arrested. Deputies were also advised the driver had gotten into a physical altercation with the passenger when the passenger attempted to call law enforcement due to the collision. The driver was issued a summons due to being admitted into the hospital for injuries sustained during the collision.

Case #2024001778 / Aggravated Fleeing, DUI, Leaving Scene of Accident, Open Container - 4/7/2024

Arrested: Jose Melendez-Ortiz (20 YO)
Deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop due to the vehicle being unable to maintain it's lane. The driver did not stop, and accelerated to extremely fast speeds. Driver crashed and hit two traffic poles, then continued to drive southbound on Cerrillos Road, eventually crashing at Rancho Viejo Boulevard. Driver showed signs of impairment, and open containers were found in the vehicle.
Case #2024001769 Unattended Death

Location: Cerrillos Heights, Santa Fe
Deceased: 60 YOA male, Santa Fe/Arizona
Deputies were dispatched to an unattended death. Deputies were advised that a male went to check on a friend living on his property. The Friend located the decedent in a trailer, not conscious and not breathing. It was determined the decedent was beyond lifesaving efforts. The Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) was contacted and responded to the scene to take over the investigation. No signs of foul play were observed.
