Right now we are working on zoned evacuations mapping for Santa Fe County Resident.  We are almost complete! Join us for our Wildfire Mitigation Community Education Day, March 29th, 2025 from 9am - 12pm, at the Santa Fe Rodeo Fairgrounds, exhibition hall.  Where you can engage with Santa Fe County subject matter experts, from Fire Department personnel, Office of Emergency Management staff, RECC, Human Resources, GIS, in addition to outside agencies and companies, all in regards to how you can better mitigate and protect yourself from the major danger Santa Fe County residents face, wildfires.

Free Green Waste Drop-Off Days!

To help reduce wildfire risk, residents with valid Solid Waste permits can dispose of green waste for free at Stanley, Jacona, and Eldorado Convenience Centers on the following dates: 

July 11–12, 2025 

August 1–2, 2025 

September 5–6, 2025 

To enhance wildfire prevention efforts, additional green waste disposal days may be scheduled in coordination with the Office of Emergency Management, Fire Department, and Public Works Department.  Before participating in free drop-off days, please review prohibited materials per Ordinance No. 2014-010 and comply with all County convenience center guidelines.

Alert Santa Fe/Smart 911

OEM in collaboration with RECC, will be visiting our senior centers, to assist anyone with signing up for Alert Santa Fe/Smart 911 throughout 2025.  Dates and times to be posted at each senior center.

Alert Santa Fe and Smart 911?  Smart 911 enhances your 911 services.  You will recieve not only alerts from Alert Santa Fe, but you can create your own personal profile that 911 operators can see, prior to dispatching emergency services when you call 911.  In that profile, you can put emergency contacts, access and egress from your address for responders, household members who may have health conditions responders may need to know about. You can upload medical documents like DNR/DNI or medication lists.  All this information will better assist first responders tending to your needs, enhancing that engagement with our responders and assisting them in providing a better quality of care.
