Notice of Adoption

On March 12th, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners officially adopted Ordinance 2024-04, which amended SLDC Section 9.5 (Tesuque Community District Overlay). The amendments will come into effect on April 12, 2024 (30 days after recordation by the County Clerk).

Public Hearing Schedule

  1. SLDC Hearing Officer - Thursday, January 11th @ 3:00pm
  2. Planning Commission - Thursday, February 15th @ 4:00pm
  3. Board of County Commissioners (BCC) - Tuesday, March 12th @ 5:00pm

Members of the public are encouraged to attend either in-person or virtually via WebEx. Each hearing will be at the County Administrative Building on 102 Grant Ave, on the 2nd floor Board of County Commission Chambers. The WebEx code to access the meeting will be available on the meeting agenda which will be posted on the County’s website one week before the meeting. In addition, people may watch the meeting on the County’s YouTube channel.

Public Comment: All comments, questions, and objections concerning the proposed ordinance may be submitted to the County Land Use Administrator in writing to P.O. Box 276, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87504-0276 or via email at ncrail@santafecountynm.gov, or presented in person at the hearing. Comments, questions, and objections submitted in advance of the public hearings must be received by 12:00p.m. on Tuesday, January 2nd for the SLDC Hearing Officer hearing, by 12:00p.m. on Tuesday, February 6th for the Planning Commission hearing, and by 12:00p.m. on Tuesday, February 27th for the BCC public hearing. All comments received by these deadlines will be included in the meeting agenda packet of each public hearing.

Santa Fe County Resolution 2019-47 established a Tesuque Community Planning Committee and authorized a Community Planning Process for the Tesuque Community District to update the 2013 Tesuque Community Plan.

2013 Tesuque Community Plan

On December 10, 2013, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the plan as amendment to the Sustainable Growth Management Plan by Resolution 2013-139.
